Fahadh Faasil has an interesting line-up of projects across Malayalam and Tamil cinema, and the actor-producer has now offered an update on one of his much-awaited Tamil collaborations. During his recent visit to Chennai for the Tamil promotional event of ‘Bethlehem Kudumba Unit’, Fahadh revealed that his upcoming film with ‘Meiyazhagan’ director Prem Kumar is set to hit theatres in December.

While Fahadh chose not to disclose the title or plot of the film, his announcement has already sparked curiosity among Tamil cinema audiences. Speaking at the Chennai press meet, Fahadh said, as reported by Cinema Vikatan, “The next Tamil film I have worked on with director Prem will release in December. I will meet all of you again then.”The collaboration has generated interest, particularly given Prem Kumar’s reputation for telling emotionally driven stories centred on human relationships. Following the success and acclaim surrounding ‘Meiyazhagan’, audiences will be keen to see what the filmmaker and Fahadh bring to their first collaboration.

At the same event, Fahadh also spoke about ‘Bethlehem Kudumba Unit’, which stars Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju and is directed by Girish A D, best known for ‘Premalu’. Fahadh, who has backed the film through Bhavana Studios, apologised for the absence of the two lead actors at the Chennai event.Calling the film a special project, Fahadh said his team has consistently tried to bring quality cinema to audiences. He also expressed confidence about the film’s Tamil release, highlighting the consistent support Tamil audiences have extended to good cinema.With the film now making its way to Tamil-speaking audiences, Fahadh is hoping the story will strike a chord in the state as well.
