In July 2025, Deadline confirmed the news that a seventh season of ‘Slow Horses’ is in the works, and with the ending of season 6, fans are already debating what is going to go down in the coming season. ELLE reported that according to the press release shared by the production house, the coming season of ‘Slow Horses’ “is adapted from the Bad Actors novel in the Mick Herron Slough House book series and sees Lamb and his Slow Horses on the hunt to find and neutralize a mole at the heart of the British Government before they can bring down the state.”The book, which is the eighth novel from the ‘Slough House’ series, is set around the Downing Street superforecaster Dr. Sophie de Greer and her disappearance. The Prime Minister’s adviser, Anthony Sparrow, then uses her disappearance for his own benefit to launch a political power grab. He makes an attempt to undermine MI5 and the organization’s chief, Diana Taverner. Jackson Lamb and his outcasts then investigate the matter, uncovering a Russian GRU plot involving a faked death.

The leading faces, including Gary Oldman, Jack Lowden, Kristin Scott Thomas, Jonathan Pryce, Hugo Weaving, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Joanna Scanlan, Tom Brooke, James Callis, Lucian Msamati, and Olivia Cooke, are all going to be returning for season 7 of ‘Slow Horses.’There are also a couple of new additions to the coming season as well.
