Bihar Mega Job Fair 2026: Bihar’s five-day Mega Job Fair 2026 began on August 19, 2026, at Gyan Bhawan near North Gandhi Maidan in Patna, offering more than 20,000 employment opportunities across private-sector roles. The fair, organised by the Department of Youth, Employment and Skill Development along with the Bihar Skill Development Mission, will continue until August 23, 2026.More than 80 companies have confirmed participation in the event, according to the department. The fair is aimed at connecting jobseekers directly with employers across banking, financial services, insurance, retail, logistics, e-commerce, IT and other sectors. The recruitment drive is open to freshers as well as experienced candidates.Five-day recruitment drive covers multiple sectorsCompanies participating in the fair include Kotak Mahindra Bank, HDFC Payments Bank, Muthoot Microfin, Clix, Flipkart, TCI Express, Johnson Lifts and Escalators, TVS Credit, Trent Limited, Reliance Retail and other employers.Job opportunities are available for candidates with different educational qualifications. The minimum eligibility is Class 10, while vacancies are also available for Class 12 pass candidates, ITI and diploma holders, graduates and candidates with other relevant qualifications.Roles include sales, customer service, banking, retail operations, logistics, delivery operations, technical support and other positions.Direct link to apply onlineSelection through interviews and skill assessmentsThe recruitment process will be conducted directly by participating companies through interviews and skill assessments. Candidates will not have to appear for a written examination for recruitment through the fair.Interviews are scheduled from 10 am to 5 pm during the five-day event. Online registration mandatory for entryCandidates must register online through the Bihar DETJOB portal before attending the job fair. Entry to the venue will be allowed only to candidates carrying a valid registration slip or its digital copy.Jobseekers should carry multiple copies of their updated CV or resume, original educational certificates and other relevant documents. Recent passport-size photographs and identity proof, including an Aadhaar card, should also be kept ready.The department has issued the toll-free helpline number 1800 296 5656 for queries related to registration, scheduling and technical issues.Bihar records employment through job fairsThe Department of Youth, Employment and Skill Development has organised 17 job fairs during the 2026-27 financial year so far. Around 8,500 youths have secured employment through these fairs.The department has also organised 673 placement camps during the financial year, through which more than 13,000 youths have secured employment. Placement-cum-guidance fairs are also being organised at district and divisional levels.The Patna Mega Job Fair is being conducted as a state-level recruitment initiative, with the department targeting employment opportunities for 20,000 people during the five-day event.
