Star couple Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda will be seen together for the first time after their marriage in the upcoming period ‘Ranabaali’. Ahead of its theatrical release on October 16, the actress spoke about how important communication and expressing love are in a relationship.

Rashmika Mandanna on expressing love after marriage

During a podcast with Shubhankar Mishra, Rashmika Mandanna revealed that she tells Vijay “I love you” several times every day. She said she believes couples should continue expressing their feelings even after marriage instead of assuming that their partner already knows how they feel.

Rashmika Mandanna reveals she says Vijay ‘I love you’ 15-20 times

She said, “Mai har din at least 15-20 times ‘I love you’ bolti hoon, kyuki mujhe na communication bohot important hota hai. Mujhe lagta hai shaadi ki baad hum chooti-chooti cheezo mai bhul jaate hai. Expressing love becomes a secondary thing. So I keep telling him this that I will keep telling this. (I tell him ‘I love you’ at least 15–20 times every day because communication is very important to me. I feel that after marriage, we tend to forget about the little things, and expressing love becomes secondary. So I keep telling him that I will always keep expressing my love.)”

Rashmika Mandanna says small efforts matter

In another podcast with Prakhar Gupta, Rashmika Mandanna spoke about the importance of making efforts for the people closest to us. The discussion began with the idea that love should be like a car that drives itself while people enjoy the journey. The ‘Girlfriend’ actress agreed with the thought but added that relationships still require conscious effort, “But also, you know, can I just give you two bits into it? I completely agree with you that you can’t be the driver. It has to just be an automobile where it’s just, like, going by itself. But also, we human beings always need to keep making efforts for those people who we love, because very often, we make a lot of effort for everyone else other than the people at our own house.”

Rashmika Mandanna: ‘Those little efforts should be made for each other’

Rashmika Mandanna said couples often stop saying simple things like “good morning” or asking about each other’s day after marriage because they assume their partner already knows.“I keep thinking that, you know, very soon after you get married, some very basic things you stop telling each other, like ‘good morning’, or ‘are you doing well?’ or ‘how is your day?’ It goes into, ‘Huh, my partner already knows now, what’s the point of saying it?’”She added that these small gestures should continue even when couples have been together for years.“So I feel like efforts, no matter how into the relationship you are, or into the marriage you are, or even if you have kids together, I still feel like those little efforts should be made for each other. And that is love.”Earlier this year, Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakond got married on February 26, 2026. They tied the knot in a private ceremony surrounded by close family and friends in Udaipur.
