The confrontation took place while Goth was in Germany filming A Cure for Wellness. LaBeouf, who was 29 at the time, was visiting her when the argument broke out.
In the footage, the pair can be heard arguing outside a taxi. LaBeouf eventually walked away and spoke to several German men, who offered to drive him to the airport.
Goth then returned and took LaBeouf’s backpack as he prepared to leave. LaBeouf approached her and repeatedly asked for it back.
At one point, he was heard telling her, “I don’t wanna touch you. I don’t wanna be aggressive. This is the kind of s*** that makes a person abusive.”
He eventually got his backpack and left with the men. During the drive, LaBeouf spoke about the argument and made the disturbing remark that later became the most widely reported part of the incident.
“If I’d have stayed there, I would have killed her,” he was heard saying.
LaBeouf also told the men that they had “saved my life” after they took him away from the situation. He appeared to have an injury to his hand, and the men offered to take him to a hospital.
The footage also captured LaBeouf trying to FaceTime his Transformers co-star Megan Fox before his conversation with the men turned to guns.
Reports at the time claimed Goth was later seen with an injury around her eye. However, those reports were not independently confirmed, so they shouldn’t be treated as an established fact.
