Luke Bryan has taken his music beyond traditional concert venues through his annual Farm Tour, an initiative that brings live performances to working farms and rural communities across the United States. What began in 2009 has grown into a long-running effort to support farming families and give back to the communities that play an important role in feeding the country.Bryan completed his 17th Farm Tour in September 2026. According to an update shared on his official website, the initiative has awarded 97 college scholarships to students from farming families since its beginning. Additionally, a campaign associated with the tour’s presenting sponsor, Bayer, has helped provide more than 11 million meals to people in need.
How Luke Bryan’s farm tour began in 2009
The Farm Tour was started with the idea of taking live country music to rural communities and bringing concerts directly to working farms. Instead of limiting performances to conventional concert venues, Bryan wanted to create an opportunity for farmers and their families to enjoy live entertainment in their own communities. The initiative also reflects the singer’s connection to agriculture, as he is the son of a peanut farmer. Over the years, the tour has become an opportunity to recognise farming families and highlight their contribution to communities across the country.
Farm Tour awards 97 college scholarships
One of the key aspects of the initiative has been its support for education. Since the Farm Tour began in 2009, Bryan has awarded 97 college scholarships to students from farming families. These scholarships are given to students attending colleges and universities near the communities where the tour stops.Bryan and Bayer have partnered since 2015, with the company returning as the presenting sponsor of the 2026 tour.Through Bayer’s #HerestotheFarmer campaign and its partnership with Feeding America, the initiative has helped provide more than 11 million meals to people in need since the collaboration began. The campaign also aims to recognise farmers and raise awareness about their contribution to food production. As part of the 2026 campaign, Bayer pledged to donate up to one million meals through Feeding America. The organisation works with a network of food banks across the United States to help people facing hunger.
Fans and FFA chapters contribute to the cause
The 2026 Farm Tour also encouraged concertgoers to participate in food donation drives. Fans contributed nearly 20,000 pounds of non-perishable food through collections at the tour venues. The donated items are intended to support regional food banks and hunger-relief organisations in the communities hosting the concerts. The initiative also involved chapters of Future Farmers of America (FFA) through the ‘Spirit of 1776’ CAN DO Challenge. Students participated by collecting canned goods and other non-perishable food items, with more than 10,000 cans donated to local food banks.Over the years, Bryan’s Farm Tour has developed into more than a series of country music concerts. By combining live entertainment with educational support and food-relief initiatives, the singer has continued to bring attention to farming communities.
