Jade plants like it moderate, roughly 10 to 24 degrees Celsius, and they don’t tolerate frost. If your plant is outside, bring it indoors before the first cold nights. Keep it away from cold window glass, draughty doors and radiators or heaters, which can scorch the leaves or dry them out. Sudden swings in temperature are a common reason for leaf drop. In warm parts of India, where October is still hot, it can stay outdoors, but give it some shade in the afternoon.
