According to the reports, Samji is currently writing ‘Munna Bhai 3’, which will be directed by Rajkumar Hirani. The development brings the writer and filmmaker together again for a franchise that has been part of their professional association since its beginning in 2003.Interestingly, Samji’s connection with the original film began through its music. He was responsible for writing the opening refrain of the popular song ‘M Bole Toh’. What started as a late-night assignment from composer Anu Malik eventually became his first association with the world of Munna Bhai. The song was originally developed when Shah Rukh Khan was being considered for the lead role. However, Sanjay Dutt eventually stepped into the character.
