Pony admitted that her circle of friends expressed serious concerns when she decided to marry a man who was over a decade older than her. But for Pony, the age difference was never a red flag.
“My friends were mad because I was marrying a man who was 12 years older than me,” she recalled.
Instead of seeing the gap as an obstacle, Pony felt Prakash’s life experience gave him the depth needed to truly understand her – where she was coming from, the struggles she went through growing up, and the way her mind works.
“But I feel happy that we have a 12-year gap because I think a man like Prakash could really understand me and the depth of my life, where I have come from, how I think, and how I struggled,” she explained.
She also shared how being with Prakash completely shifted her internal pace. Before meeting him, she was always running, but the actor brought an grounding presence that helped her slow down and breathe.
“There is calmness that Prakash Raj brought into my life. So just sit back, enjoy the food, it’s all good. Nothing is going away, no time is running out, you’re not falling behind in life. Everything will work out,” she said.
In her view, a younger man who hadn’t walked through life’s trials might not have offered her that kind of emotional stability.
