Optical illusion personality tests trick the brain and eyes into believing what they see first despite the many objects hidden in the photo, based on what is seen first, and this particular illusion is a variation of what’s known as Rubin’s Vase, developed by Danish psychologist Edgar Rubin around 1915. It happens because your brain can only commit to one interpretation of the image at a time, flipping between the faces and the object rather than seeing both at once.

The test here claims to tell your personality type, whether you’re introverted, extroverted, or anything in between, based on what you spot first, which is why these tests are so popular online despite not being backed by psychology.
