Bathrooms, balconies, utility spaces and areas around kitchen sinks can become attractive to insects when there is excess moisture. Stagnant water, leaking taps and damp corners may encourage insect activity, creating a potential food source for lizards. Check for leaks, clear water collected in plant trays and make sure areas prone to moisture are cleaned and dried regularly.
Spotting a lizard does not automatically mean your house is dirty. House geckos can enter even well-maintained homes while looking for food or shelter. Rather than focusing only on the lizard itself, reducing insect activity, sealing entry points and keeping clutter under control can make your home less inviting to them.
